My daughter and I took a walk at a nearby Wildlife Refuge yesterday. This cute little fellow was sitting in the path. :) From what I can see, he must be about 15 years old. Box turtles are amazing. They are territorial. He must have a good life there are the refuge.
that's cool!!! i remember when me, rachel, ashley, and harrison were fishing and rachel cought a turtle. it bit her. we let it go. but we had a hard time getting it off the hook without getting bitten. so dad did it. i don't know what kind it was. (this was a LONG time ago.)
ReplyDeleteIt was probably a snapping turtle! They are dangerous. When I was a girl, we had a pet snapping turtle! He finally got so big that Mommie gave him to a zoo!
