Sad times... Happy times.

The day before Thanksgiving, my 14 year old dog died. I miss her so much. She was such a good little friend for so long.

Then, Thanksgiving came, and we had a lovely and memorable day. I hope those of you that celebrate Thanksgiving all had a nice meal and loved ones to spend the day with.

  6. Maria, how old was your kitty? That is sad. Thank you all for your kind thoughts. I know when we take a pet into our life, we can expect this to happen, but it still hurts. I do know from experience that we need to get another dog, and we are open to that. Except for very brief periods in my life, I've always had a dog, and life just isn't the same without one. I also have, as you've probably noticed, a nice cat too. She loved "hating" my dog, and I think she misses her too.

  8. I'm so sorry to hear about your dog's passing. I've always had dogs and cats in my life. They are like people and are a part of the family. When they pass, it's so sad. Rejoice in the fond memories you will have of her and that you had her for 14 years! Blessings!

  9. I am sorry about your dog. We humans love our pets like part of our family. Otherwise we wouldn't let them take a nap in our nice chair like someone curling right now next to me. His four legs are to long for the chair but he doesn't care, he is warm and next to mom.

    Take care.

    Mely

  12. My cat Tagi was 18. Old! He was a purebred Persian, Shaded Silver. Beautiful cat and stayed beautiful right to the end. My vet said he was the oldest Persion she's treated. He died of an embolism :( Painful unfortunately.

I did notice your beautiful white cat helping you with the zipper :) I'm sure she'll love the new pup!
